I know nothing about Enfields. Looks like the forend stock on this has been replaced. Any info much appreciated and what to look for to figure out details on this one.

Looks like it may have been a sporterized rifle that was restored to full military configuration. Does the serial number on the end of the nose piece match the receiver and bolt? Also looks like the stock has been varnished. I would recommend stripping off the finish with paint stripper and using wood stain to get the colour to match better followed by a boiled linseed oil finish.

Receiver and bolt have matching serial numbers, the end of the nose piece is different. What's approx value as it sits before any sort of stripping and finish work?
