Being a waterfowl hunter and general shotgun enthusiast I like to see whats new . I just finished watching some YouTube videos on the 940 line of guns .I then did some Canadian price research . I got to say I think the 940 pro waterfowl is a lot of gun for the money . this is coming from an avid browning shotgun owner . so whats your thoughts on the 940 pro waterfowl .

I've always been a fan of Mossberg. I absolutely love my 930, if I was in the market, I'd be after the 940.

The 940 looks to be quite a nice gun. I love my 935 and the 940 shares the same basic design/platform as the 930/935 but has all the upgraded components as factory options. If one was to buy all those components from Or3gun to upgrade their 930/935, the total cost of gun and parts would certainly exceed the cost of the 940. And even then, the 930/935 wouldn't have the chrome lined barrel. I do prefer the camo patterns and rear stock design of the 930/935 though. Also if someone is interested in a 3.5” gun, the 940 is limited to 3” shells. I usually shoot 3” shells, but I prefer the 3.5” gun based on its weight and balance
It's Ok rembolt I get those mossy moments also now from time to time and then I shake a little and go buy another browning

Last fall and most of the falls before the Mossbergs, took just as many birds as the B guns in my group.

To each their own. I own but one mossy a vintage 500 and only because it is a 16ga. Have never seen one hold up on a clays field for long and if you knew rembolt you would understand my post. He has browning I think underware

Haha, all good.
I'm a firm believer that you should shoot what you hunt, so my SA-20, 930, and Silver Reserve II ( Odd I own a ton of Mossbergs....), all get the skeet chokes spun in, and they see a lot of action at the clubs skeet fields.
My 500? Not so much....hard to shoot a true double....now a report double....sure.

Let me guess....you got your DU longjohns at Giant Tiger?
I bought me a couple and they are the absolute best!
Although I really have no use for a pump action, I shot clean rounds with a 20 gauge Wingmaster, with no issues. Other club members use Wingmasters, and also have no issues.
Don’t hate. But I picked up a Girsan mc312 a couple years back. It was meant to be a backup/loaner gun. It’s proven to be an absolute work horse. Probably in the ballpark of 1500 rounds fired and not a single hiccup. Points beautifully and patterns well. I ended up picking up a second one and selling my super black eagle 2, which covered the cost of BOTH Girsans and left a good chunk of change left over for other toys. Highly recommend
