Trying to find which mount would fit on a blaser ES70 , ES700/88 , or early BBF95 combination gun.

I think it is either a recknagel pivot mount or claw mount but not sure as I’ve never used these.

Looks like sone kind of rail with a slot on the action.

Let me know if you can ID the type of mount that goes there!

Looks like it is a mount on the dovetail that has a recoil lug potentially?

Check out optics trade eu, they will likely have one piece mounts in their menu which is easy to use. Go to one piece mounts and select the firearm.

If not their customer service is excellent

Yes I wrote to them but have not heard back . Guess these are pretty rare…

Guessing the mounts they have listed for the bbf95 will not work from your distinction between the older and newer models?

https://www.optics-trade.eu/ca/mounts/shopby/suitable_for_blaser-blaser_bbf_95_97.html

All labeled blaser and not by size as far as I can see but I didn’t scroll down the whole way, not much use if the dovetail has changed. Is there only the one recoil lug?

In that case could potentially be a nominally 11mm dovetail like on many euro single shots and combos?

Unfortunately I have found that style of dovetail difficult to measure with calipers but a more seasoned user may have a trick

Worst case scenario their return policy and process were easier than most I have done in Canada, they even sent a shipping label

With numbers like that the newer models must have an 11mm or other common dovetail size I imagine. Unfortunately I have found that style of dovetail difficult to measure with calipers but a more seasoned user may have a trick

il check the dovetail, but in that section on O-T , it is mostly blaser Saddle mounts. My combination gun was made not long before they switched to the saddle mounts in 1993. Its the older mount I have a very hard time identifying.

I edited my post after more looking at the page haha

I think the issue with measuring the dovetails is the measurement is based on depth of dovetail to depth of dovetail and not surface?

Maybe try the blaser buds forum? I wouldn’t be surprised at all if optics trades knows when they get back to you though

I am on BB as well, no one answered. I messaged the people at Innomount in Germany and recknagel, I guess they will probably know , Based on pictures I saw, it looks like a pivot mount, just not sure of the model.

It certainly resembles the dovetail with single recoil lug on multiple single shots I’ve had that can take a variety of one piece mounts, just can’t speak to the size. Good luck in your hunt!

Here is an example of a QD mount for the style of dovetail that appears to be:

Obviously you will need to determine your dovetail size but nominally 11mm is generally the standard afaik

You can also buy picatinny adaptors like this, this one is pretty low rent and uses a screw in lieu of a lug like on the MAK mount. I seem to have misplaced the screw

I guess to be correct the lug is in the mount, not sure what the notch in the dovetail that holds the lug is called

I think some are measured from the deepest point and some from the widest point to get your nominal width; you might want to wait on confirmation from optics trade before ordering. Regardless their will be a variety of mounts

check with isny what they can offer on that model.

Optics trade says the 14.5 are measured from widest point. Still waiting for confirmation from someone lol. Blaser USA has no clue. Those combination gun were made for a very short time in the late 80s, early 90s before they went to the saddle mount it seems but getting warmer and warmer ;)

Hell I’d risk it with the MAK mounts if that’s how they say to measure; their return policy is good. It’s clearly a dovetail mounting system

You might even get away with using the cheaper mount with no lug or the QD rings; but I personally wouldn’t best case scenario you lose your repeatable return to zero

Any more pics or info on the gun?

Yes it is either an ES700/88 or early pattern BBF95 , I think the latter. 12Ga over 7x57R. I read on Blaserbuds a guy used sako rings and filed down one if them. Might be sonething to try.
