In what way do Glocks suck?
They are reliable, accurate, parts are available if needed, as well as a ridiculous amount of aftermarket parts.
The old “ grip angle and ####ty trigger” arguments are lame, a good shooter can pick up any handgun and get good results, without blaming the gun.

Well, out of those options I’d vote for the CZ 75, especially if it’s a version with a safety and not a decocker. The extra weight will be a net positive and the triggers / sights are pretty good right out of the box. Aftermarket parts can make them even better. The double action is totally optional.
I have shot a variety of 10mm pistols in my day.....the BEST one to date....Glock 40.
Its a superb pistol for full-power 10 mm loads.
When you run a few mags thru a SIG P220 R 5 10mm....you will give the TupperWare away.

Have you shot a Glock 40 Mos?
I'm an advocate for the CZ 75/85 platform. Although, I have never shot the "Omega", I have read about the internals being different than the original 75 design, and the triggers being not so nice. It is also interesting to note that there are so many copies and clones of the CZ, and most are so true to the original that most internals are interchangeable between these clones. Norinco, Sphinx, Tanfoglio, and the Jericho come to mind; I believe there are others. Before committing to the CZ I decided to by a lower priced clone to try, and after doing a lot of research, I bought a Norinco NZ85B. At $400 new, it was not as "cheap" as most Norks, but it was about half the price of a new CZ. Since that time I have shot a couple different Sphinxs, a few different CZs (not the omega), and I own a Jericho in .40.
Two problems with the Nork; the stock grips suck; but I got a set of CZ overmolded rubber grips (the basic stock from the factory ones) and they fit right on; it now feels exactly like the CZ.
The other problem is it shoots so well, is so easy to shoot accurately, and is 100% reliable, I can't justify changing to a CZ at this point.
You are correct about the .40 S & W mags; I have tried both the stock mags that came with my Jericho, and the aftermarket Mec Gar Mag I bought for it; I actually get 14 9mm in each, and the do feed flawlessly.
BTW, the Jericho feeds .40s regardless of bullet type flawlessly as well.
Why not Glock? While they are reliable, and they do shoot amazingly accurately, they are (IMO) ugly, the grips are uncomfortable, the grip angle is uncomfortable, and the point of balance is unnatural for me. No question, they do work. Why are they so popular... Well, law enforcement and military buy lots of them because they are cheap to buy, because they are cheap to build, so they have become ubiquitous. There are lots of Toyota Corollas on the road for the same reason, cheap and they work; but they are not a Lexus.

Guess that’s why you need a few different to try out and see what fits you best. They hold their value and no trouble reselling. Out of my m&p9, sig320 9, cz75b 9, cz75b 40, kimber 1911 45, newest edition to the family is the sig226 select 9, I really like the new sig, but my go to for what I shoot best are the cz’s. Have not tried a glock, hear lots of good things, just have not had the chance. Also rented a shadow 2 at the range it was nice, but I shot just as well with my 75b. The 1911 I shoot very well but I have to reach for the slide release, so it just not a good fit.

I love this site so much and this community. I truly didn't realize the response I was going to get. Thank you all so much. All of you are a blessing. I just wish I had a mentor to teach me proper techniques.
You tube can teach you lots of good drills and proper technique. I took the the black badge course a couple years ago. Have to say that it was money well spent on getting training from very qualified and informative shooters that were instructing the course. Even if you do not plan on ipsc shooting it’s still a good course on how to holster and move with a firearm in a dynamic situation. I did not end up doing a qualifier but the knowledge I took away from that week end was money well spent. We only had 3 people in our weekend course, 2 instructors, so lots of one on one training.
