1911 or glock, maybe the only way to go for me.

wow s and w parts are a wait, md charlton parts for my sig are months out, some retailers on here told me sig parts are tough because they have to order alot not to get burned on shipping?? if they can get that part at all, the only handguns I never had issues getting stuff for is of course a 1911 or glock, not sure about ruger, have only ordered a mag from snapshots and got it quick. opinions? Is there a lesson here? In the future I think a person needs to think about this??? before they buy.

I choose guns based on parts availability. When Sig discontinued P239 I ordered a ton of parts. Nothing worse than a gun with no access to parts...my HK P7M8 falls into this category, I sold My ACR when Bushmaster discontinued production and parts support.

Glock parts you can change yourself, 1911 may require fitting but gunsmiths are available in Canada, for now.

yes i know guys who are great with 1911s and glock s are so easy to change parts on, maybe when a person gets fimiliar with any pistol they are comfortable working on them. but after owning alot of different pistols over the years i just seem to prefer the glocks. but i do have a spingfield 1911. recoil spring on 2 glocks were changed. and recoil spring on 1911, that s it but those are easy to get.

Wolverinesupplies, the warranty center for S&W, will not sell spare parts for S&W pistol. I am not sure whether this is S&W policy or not.

Can you buy spare parts for SIG or Glock or Beretta from their official warranty center ?

Snapshot which was the warranty center for Ruger, use to have a online ordering form for Ruger spare parts. But I heard Gravel Agency (?) has recently took over so not sure what is happening now.

wolverine told me to go to md charlton for a sig part because of shippingcosts??? either way I have been in this game for years and I am only buying firearms I do not have to chase around for recoil springs, trigger springs extractors, and so on. I am a high volume shooter. like I say glock or 1911 has never been a issue.
