We have set the 2022 PRS schedule and look forward to seeing everyone this season. We seen an number of new faces last year and hope we can repeat this. Similar to last year we are looking to grow the number of shooters in the sport and we will have support and some gear to share with new shooters.

Match dates will be on the CDTSA site as well as updated here and will be set up on PractiScore in the coming weeks.

We will host 4 matches for 2022 and the dates have been set around the larger matches (SAPRL,Canadian Sharp Shooter, Prairie Precision Steel) that have already set dates for us. Match dates are

April 23 - https://practiscore.com/cdtsa-prs-april-23-2022/register
May 28 - https://practiscore.com/cdtsa-prs-may-28-2022/register
July 23 - https://practiscore.com/cdtsa-prs-july-23-2022/register
Oct 1 - https://practiscore.com/cdtsa-prs-october-1-2022/register

Registration opens 1 month in advance

Aside from the CDTSA PRS rules on the range website, is there any additional information for these matches? Calibre requirements, distances, altitude, etc?

Any info appreciated.

Thanks!

Matches times will be updated as we near but typically start at 9am and finish around 3
Distances are between 300m and 500m
Targets will typically be 3moa
No magnum calibres and projectile needs to be under 3000fps
Rifle should be capable of holding 10 rounds in a detachable magazine
Chamber flags are required at all times unless instruction is given to remove
Match booklets are given out at the match and are typically 80-100 rounds that are fired from a series of different positions and obstacles
For altitude you would need to look up specific for Milo Alberta but it is roughly 3000ft

Question:

For the upcoming PRS shoot, what's the rules regarding extra people coming to spectate?

Do they need guest passes?

There isn’t much room inside the shooting shelter to have spectators but people are free to sit off on the side berms behind the shooting line. I would recommend lawn chairs for anyone coming to sit. The spectators can not bring or use any firearms on any of the ranges, unless they are with a current CDTSA member, have a guest pass and are under direct supervision of the member.

Thanks to Cori for putting on a fun match today, Oliver for running a tight ship as squad mom, and to everybody in my squad, it was a blast.
