This is probably the best thread to get informed advice. About 1 month ago, I ordered some parts for a Remington 1100. One order was from Brownells which was about $8USD and the other from Numrich for about $20USD. Both were shipped via USPS the next day and arrived in Toronto customs on Mar 19, which is where they still are. I regularly order items from the USA without any problem although this is the first time it has been gun parts. Is this an issue?
What paper work do the sellers or USPS need to do to get these thru customs. A quick check on USPS advises there is nothing that can be done. You just have to wait for CBSA to do their thing.
