MRX Bison 300BLK

Just unboxed mine. Will report back this weekend.

*Edit.

Threw a spare red dot I had handy and grabbed a box of Factory Ammo and some handloads i had. Factory was AE Black box 220 grain subsonic. Handloads were some spicy 125 SST's loaded with VV N110.

Just some quick and dirty function testing to make sure everything is gtg. Managed to cluster 3 rounds of subsonic into a 3/4" group at 50 yards. Supersonics went into a 2.5" group at 100. Honestly that's about on par with the accuracy id gotten in the past with the AE factory loads and 2.5" is about as good as i can do at 100 with just a red dot.

Accuracy shouldn't be a problem with some load development and a decent optic. The trigger is really nice and the extraction and ejection was perfect. Did have a few light strikes on my reloads, but that's not uncommon. Hard military primers on those, and i didn't clean the bolt before i took it out.

So far it looks promising.

MTF.

Thanks, trying to figure out if it is worth re chamber the barrel or if I should just put a new barrel on if the accuracy isn't that great.

Busy day, but I managed to get a proper scope mounted for load testing, cranked out some ammo on the reloading bench and hit the backyard range.

Took me more than a few rounds to get it sighted in as I mounted the optic as low as possible to get a good cheek weld without a stock riser.

Then it started to rain so only shot 1 group... 5 shots at 50 yards... still very promising... especially if this holds out to 100 and beyond... I'm sure I can tighten this up with some additional load development as well.

Looks similar to what I got at 48 yards 5 shot in 5.56 using our 55 grain plinking loads from my buddy's Dillon Progressive Loader.
