my Ti 260 with factory stock, talley lows, and a Leupold VXII 3-9x40 w/ elevation turret weighed 6 lbs 1 oz on my kitchen scale
once I get the Mcmillan edge on it, swap out the shroud/pin, and stick the 3-9x33 VXII on it, it should be a bit lighter.
mine is right at 6lbs 1 oz now...with Talleys, aluminium shroud and 2.5-8X Leupy, and BDL bottom metal which didn't add anything when I swapped it in.............our scales must be very close.
Wanna sell your 260?
If he sells his 260, do you want to sell your 7-08?

nope...and I have a lead on one in 308...I might buy it too...
Is there any weight savings by changing triggers?
So far I've done everything lite but kept the factory trigger!
If you switch to dry graphite over gun grease in the bolt assembly, you may save a 1/10 oz or so too (also look into switching screws in your scope rings, stainless may be a tad lighter than blued screws
Talk about the search for the Holy Grail!!!!!
Rembo, I know where your Sako L579 in .284 is sitting, and it's not forty feet from where I am typing. That is one very sweet gun!
I think Myles has it nailed about weight, though............
