MDT Sale Worth The Wait?

Looking to pick up an MDT XRS for my 457.
I know that MDT has Black Friday sales.

Just curious what sort of savings are expected.
Worth the wait or should I just grab one now.

If I could get an ACC for the same price as an XRS I’d be tempted to wait.
What’s everyone’s experience been with MDT sales and factory seconds?

So I’d still be looking at $1000 now for an ACC
Unfortunately out of my price range.

Been trying to find a used XRS from a cost savings perspective.

Yup. ACC is lotsa bucks now.

XRS followed the 40% off for Rem 700 last fall, (wasn’t looking for 457), but it’s popular enough that it should follow that 40% discount for the 457 if MDT continues with the sales. Keep an eye on the EE for an XRS that has extra accessories you may want. You might get fairly close to a sale price.
 
Well with their new pricing, the black Friday "deals" will pretty much just be 2021 regular prices lol.

Ya they will have some 40% off stuff but it goes super quick and you're left with 10% off chassis'.

For fun, let's remember the ACC went from $999 to $1099 to now $1559.

Yup I think ACC is out of the picture.
XRS is still a very nice setup, gives a little more room for all the other goodies to put on it (ARCA, Bipod, maybe some weights)
Keeping my eye open.
 
The XRS does look nice. I was going to buy one for my Rem but scored the ACC.

A budget option is to modify the stock you have (easier if it’s wood), or buy a Boyd stock. I was all over the map when I was looking at a 457 and ended up with the At One factory version. Since it’s wood, I can easily mod it for an Arca rail. Now that I found a 12x12x1/4 piece of aluminum in my shop, I might make my own Arca rail that fits the stock, so I can leave it intact.

The annual sale is great, and certainly time for the annual wishlist dump, but if I wanted something for this shooting season I'd buy it now rather than wait and lose the summer.

The sales are awesome but sometimes the specific things you want go fast. I usually have a list of 2-3 things to target and have gotten lucky a few times.

The XRS is awesome on the CZ457. Love mine!
 
I have one on my Vudoo and everyone that has tried my gun was LOVIN it. A lot of great features and quality without breaking the bank. I had a JEallen and a Manners before, but this just fit better and was way lighter than the JEallen and just felt better than the manners to me. My McMillan A5 was great but I didnt want to keep switching back and forth with the centerfire and once bedded that was the end. Bought the XRS and havent regretted it once. Best bang for ther buck but thats just my opinion. PS gas was $1.24 a litre not long ago and now its $2.00. Stuff will not get cheaper. Another bonus is theyre CANADIAN and support our shooting community. Lets do the same for them.
