Varget at Cabelas

Well now I know why the violent mobs outside the castle always have pitch forks and garden tools when they come for the tyrannical ruler. Sharpen those sticks folks, things are about to get real.

"NATO preparing for massive military exercises as Russia continues invasion of Ukraine"

it will get worse in about a week

Reasonable compared to what people are charging. I see budget has 8lbers of varget and h4350 for $950. He won't see my business anymore

What can I say? I found some that was crazy expensive from a supplier, I chose to buy it so at least some customers had an option to buy some. I thought it would be better than having nothing at all.

Regards, Henry

Powder is getting unreal in pricing and availability. I've been keeping my eye out for h4198 but I afraid even if I do find it the price will be outrageous.

I have several 1 pounders of H4198 I probably don't need but I'm way out in BC
I'd happily trade some away for some federal large rifle primers hehehe

The guys who work all day (away from a computer), have kids and wives waiting for them when they get home from work have little time to take advantage of Cabelas online powder stock.. These fellows might get a small window of time to check Cabelas website in the evening when kids are tucked in and wife's household demands are met. But, by that time the powder is all gone because the computer sleuths have gobbled it all up. These forewarnings of stock at Cabelas suit those sitting by a computer all day long, just fine... For the aforementioned fellows not privy to sitting near a computer, never get a chance to fill an order... Guess what, Varget is all gone, again... Just saying... :)

Its still there as of 2 mins ago - I just checked

Serious question - if you are so taxed for time between work and family that you don't have time to click a link and order powder - then how do you find time to reload in the first place?

I'm retired, have all the time in the world.... might be a distant concept, but, I'm thinking of others, not myself.... When I checked, it was all gone.... no explanation why so ?

I think of others too - and I can't think of an easier way for them to order powder than searching "Varget cabelas" and completing your order in less than 5 minutes. Maybe I misinterpreted your post but it sounded a bit like "I can't buy powder because the internet beats me to it". Sorry if I got that wrong

To complain that someone beat you to the punch doesn't sit well with me. There's no socialist supply chain ensuring everyone gets what they want - it goes to the first / highest bidder depending on who is selling.
It is still there online right now - I checked again. It has been available all day - as I happened to see it this morning as well. At $90/lb I am not interested - but perhaps others may be in need...
But if you're too busy to check - you miss out. Plain and simple.

I just ordered two jugs… $1,468.98… WTF I must be nuts… that’s why I’m on this forum!!

Thank you for the heads up OP!!

They still have them online, my friend also ordered 2 jugs.

That’s expensive, but you watch the factory ammo prices on the next shipment… the prices will go even higher.

I totally agree with you. I’m really not interested at $90/lb but this is the first powder I found in months. I just ordered two jugs (almost $1,500), I know, I must be crazy… but with this inflation, I don’t think it will go back down any time soon… and the factory ammo prices will go up. What to do??

I bought 3lbs of Varget at Bass Pro in Vaughan last weekend for $54.99 each minus a 5% military discount, but sorry to say I cleared them out.

They did have at least one pound of Titegroup for $38.99 in stock.
