Yeah, you are spot on.
Considering the abysmal results in the past few decades, these political parasites should be cut off from all support after serving in office.
And for the record, I do write these imbeciles... but I admit that it is not to achieve change but rather to vent my own frustration. I know that writing these types will never accomplish anything.
In 10 yrs of writing various elected officials, no matter how professional you write, these 'representatives' always just send a canned response. One that is likely written by some lowly paid political intern because they really do not care about what you, or I think.
Yes, BC government AND opposition response to important issues is pathetic beyond belief. Just a bunch of self-serving freeloaders. Listening to them banter back and forth in legislature is enough to make your blood boil.
Sometimes I don't even get a boilerplate response. I swear they look and say "Oh look, its Stonehorse again, hit delete." Paper letter in the shredder.well gentlemen the only real fix to the problem is if the GOOD people of this province get together and form a new party that gives people an alternative to the circle jerk that is the BC political landscape.

It allows any resident hunter with a moose tag to shoot one moose less than 12 months old in two management units spanning the Parsnip River northeast of the city. It ends Oct. 25.
In addition, 400 limited entry tags, awarded through a lottery system, have been issued allowing hunters to kill one calf or cow moose in regions across the province. More than half of those are focused on the Parsnip River area and two management units north of Revelstoke, where caribou herds are on the brink of disappearing.”

yup..... our choices are slim but I will say that no party has screwed up this provinces hunting faster than the NDP. LEH delayed this long has never happened before in the history of the system. It is either by incompetence or by purposeful action of the province to cause this delay.
Making hunting unattractive and frustrating BC's resident hunters is their goal.
The decisions that are making in the eastern part of region 7 and north of PG are just unreal.
John Horgan wants this provinces ungulate numbers to reflect pre 1940 numbers. That means wiping out the moose in most of this province. Elk and white tail will be next on the list you'll see.
Meanwhile grizzly numbers are rising at a rate that is going to put a whole lot of communities and ungulate populations at greater risk. When there aren't any elk and moose to eat do they think that the grizzly bears will not eat the cariboo?
Gonna be a whole lot of unhappy "former" hunters and a very irresponsibly managed wildlife population if these absolute morons aren't reigned in.
The whole eastern region 7 regulation changes are all based on John Horgan's lies about being pressured by FN groups to make the changes they are making. It's all bullsh!t.
Now I don't care about the LEH one way or another as I stopped wasting my money on it a few seasons ago but i know a lot of people book their holidays based on LEH results and this is gonna screw with a lot of people who usually have to book their fall hunting time before summer starts.
As for political parties...... I'm all for running as a candidate in a new party that shares my ideals and standards. Let's do it!!! Anyone?
