Bren 2 North Sylva Restricted Imports

In those 2 weeks I'm feeling like Charlie Brown lining up with Lucy's football....

With Lucy being the RCMP of course.

Until I get one in my greasy palms I'm still in disbelief these are coming. Someone slap me with a trout.

Did they quote you a price? I emailed them and they said you can put down a $200 deposit, but they are waiting of further info from distribution regarding final price and there would be a 20% penalty if canceled. Seems to me that North Sylva is going to be increasing the price. How coincidental that there original price was the same as IRG's after conversion, but once IRG is out of stocks, they have decided to change the price.

I have a feeling this whole thing is gonna turn into a ####show for them. If they are that greasy to change prices when ALOT of people are putting hefty deposits down on these rifles. Watch the NR one come in at 3600 or some stupid thing. In reality its a 2500 dollar rifle

My 11" 556 was 2799+gst. so $2939.99 option was 20% down, paid in full.

I have a feeling North Sylva is kicking themselfs for posting the price in their initial post, than changed it :D

Looks to me that the Americans are the ones preventing us from getting ripped off from Canadian companies. If not for IRG I would assume that the starting price for the restricted would have been in the $3000+ range.

Yes, definitely.

I got the same vibe when IRG was bringing in the Keltec RDB for reasonable prices.
If not for them; The prices in Canada would have been MUCH higher.

Maybe some, or all the 7.62 x 39's went to Ukraine ?

That cartridge is obsolete over there as well. Its all 5.45x39 or 7.62x54. Ukraine and most combloc countries switched to the akm or ak74 in the 5.45x39 cal in the 80s. Mostly Africa using the 7.62x39 offerings. Hence why we were buying 7.62x39 as surplus as it is no longer needed in Ukraine…

Yes well aware that there is a switch to 5.45x39 (many moons ago) but there still are loads and loads of 7.62x39 still in stocks and use over there. Even with many units in Russia.
Just take a look at the news clips from the war there. You see lots of AR FOW platforms, many others and tons of 7.62x39mm pressed into use too.
