45 colt hunting bullet.

Anyone use a .451” bullet in a 45colt?
I seen Barnes makes a XBP but it’s .451”

I also found reference to them selling loaded ammo with thoes .451 bullets in 45colt.
Wondering is the .001” differents would cause accuracy issues or copper fowling?

Most modern 45 colt use the same bore diameter as 45 acp, which is .451" and 1 in 16 twist.
Jacketed for both cartridges are standardized to .451
Sometimes cast shoot better sized .452 to .454, but I have good luck sizing .451 with powder coated cast.

I should clarify my statement above. Most bores are standardized to .451" groove for 45 colt and 45 acp. Jacketed bullets are available .451 or .452, but either should work well.
The barnes bullet should be deadly the 45 colt.
I don't know where you are located, but I could send you some coated cast bullets to try if you are curious.
