So, I stop by the local dealer right after Christmas and they are having a Boxing week sale. There under the glass is a standard X-Five in 40 S&W. The sales clerk tells me that it is $1000 off and how nice the trigger pull is. So I naturally ask if I could hold it. Wow, does it ever fit my hand perfectly, and the trigger feels like butter. Wiped the drool of the pistol, handed it back and headed off to the range for a couple of hours. The whole time that I was shooting my thoughts drifted back to that sweet X-Five that I held in my hand at the gun shop. Thought about the pistol for another couple of days, called the shop and told them that I would take it. Just waiting for the paper work to come through.

We have 1 of the MasterShop Custom PPC X-FIVE's as well... Aristrocrat 3 Position PPC with tall front sight (for PPC competition), adjustable trigger, etc...

The cheapest one that I see from Questar is the SIG-Sauer Pistol P226 X-FIVE PPC (5") for 2999.
My dealers asking price for the X-Five was 3200. It was offered boxing week for 2200.
I spent a while looking around and I could not find the same model at a better price.

Hey I'm a 1911 guy too. Have a couple of Kimbers that I love to shoot, but then....(long dramatic pause)....I bought a Sig P210. The thing shoots like it is part of your hand. Just field stripping it you can feel and see the amazing craftsmanship.
The X-Five that I'm getting is stainless with wood grips. Hold one sometime and try the trigger...you'll be hooked too.

Black Ilaflon® coating, polished slide and control parts.
Slide, frame and jet funnel black Ilaflon® coated.
Polished control parts: Hammer, trigger, safety lever left and right, grip plate screws, slide catch lever, disassembly lever, magazine catch, magazine extension.
I think somthing to watch on the X5s, is that only the Allround uses standard 226 mags. The other X5s take a different mag that costs considerably more. I think that most Allround frame parts are the same as standard 226 parts as well?
