With the abhorrent announcement made yesterday it seems like it has been a real frenzy but in the past when there has been only panic buying, this time around seems like there is a lot of both. Web stores are constantly selling out and the EE is constantly having new ads posted or old ads bumped. Lots of people seem to dumping their stuff.
Personally, I don't intend on selling any of my pistols as I don't have a crazy sum of money tied up in them and I would rather have them than the money. I could understand if you had $5000+ in one pistol, I'd want to get rid of it too.
I also noticed that there seem to be several ad's where people are trying to off load one just to get another, maybe the one pistol they have been lusting after for years and now is the last chance. Closing time, finish your whisky or beer so to speak.

So what have you done? Have you bought more pistol and revolvers, have you dumped what you have? Or have you tried to move some stuff out so others can move in?
I bought a Canuck 9mm 1911 from SFRC, Paid a lot more than I think the gun is worth but I am happy I did. I slept on an M&P 2.0 and it was gone in the morning. I will try and get one more if the price is right and it is something I have on my list. At this point I am not buying the cheapest thing just cause I can.

I am only going to buy another if the right deal pops up (Not Likely) an decided to get a few extra mags for my left hand 10/22 and some other mags before they don't exist. :D

Bought my first revolver last week, a 357 SA Peacemaker by Pietta. After hearing about the handgun ban, I convinced my Wife that if she doesn't get a handgun now she probably won't get one, so this morning she ordered a 357 Peacemaker for herself ... didn't plan on buying anything let alone 2 revolvers in a week's time, so broke, but happy to get a handgun we really like before the ban kicks in

Selling nothing!

As for buying..... Will wait to see if something interesting pops up for sale, though.

NAA.

I am selling. I am very sad to do it, but I just don't shoot restricted anymore given the range requirements and limited time. My handguns have sat in the safe for years now. I thought to myself, do I want to risk losing the monetary value for items I currently have not much enjoyment value for? Damn the liberals for forcing the decision on me. I hope the people buying get a lot of joy from them.

pirate604 I was able to acquire a couple that I have been eyeing for a while. Unfortunately during the non restricted run up to May 18 I spent a bit more than I wanted. I have zero regrets. I am keeping everything I have as I enjoy shooting them all.

I was hoping to pick up a sig FCU or two but cant find them anywhere.
I just looked around at all the big sites. Almost nothing left. I would be very interested to know how may more handguns went into private hands today.
And FYI. If you are a shield member, Rampart still has a ton of glocks in stock.
Oh yeah, and post# 2000 woot woot!

Flaherty's in Toronto had 20 different handguns available yesterday, down to 3 different guns today, a total of 9 units. I bet they will all be gone by tomorrow. Panic buying indeed.

EDIT: less than 2 hours later, they are all gone except for the Beretta APX.

EDIT 2: next day, everything at Al Flaherty's is sold out. Every last handgun. Unbelievable.

Not about to sell anything. I culled the herd over the last few years to get rid of anything that didn’t fill a desirable niche for me.

But I do miss having a .45 ACP in the safe. I’ve been thinking for months I’d snap up a cheap Norinco and slowly swap out parts.

Hell with that, I ordered the last Heckler & Koch USP45 from RDSC just as the sun was coming up.

I wish I still had my black powder revolver though. There’s something to be said for not needing assembled cartridges
