I was laying in bed last night thinking about my gun collection and wondering if with the new changes if I was missing anything that I would regret not having.
I came to the conclusion that I need a 44 magnum because I don’t have one!

So today I called my favourite drug dea….. I called my favourite gun store and asked what they had in 44 magnum’s.

He pointed me to they online inventory and after a couple minutes of browsing I settled on the Smith & Wesson Model 69 Combat.

Looks like a nice revolver.
Anyone have one?
Any good?

I bought it so I’m hoping it is!
I really liked the looks of the multi coloured ones with the 2 foot barrels and scopes but thought I should actually get a revolver sized revolver.

I had been considering adding a .44 wheelgun to my safe for quite a while, as it is one distinct niche I do not have a handgun for. I was considering a Ruger Redhawk, a S&W Mod 29, Model 629, or the same Model 69 you bought. Everything I've been able to find online over the past year or so about the 69 has been pretty positive... so I made the same decision you did last night, and bought a 69. I wanted something smaller and cheaper to shoot than my 460V, I've always liked .44Mag, and I figured I might as well go as small as I reasonably could here in Canada while still keeping it in .44Mag. The only thing I personally am a bit iffy about is the sleeved barrel.

You were correct in your assessment that a .44 rem Mag was necessary. You won't regret that decision. I have a 629 and it brings a smile every damn time I touch one off. I can't help it.

I've also been doing some soul searching, and decided a single action New Vaquero in .45 Colt was my hole/vacuum that needed to be addressed. This Lieberal government has caused me to buy more guns than I've ever bought before!?

you know I was looking at the S&W 460V as it was only a couple hundred more bucks to pick up, but my dad has one and he told me that id inherit his one day and what would I do with 2 of them!
so the 44 mag won.

ya its funny, everyone that I know that has pistols has picked up 1 or 2 this week because of this new law.
That seems counterproductive to what the liberals wanted to have happen..... and I'm ok with that!

and here I told my wife last year that there was no more hand guns I wanted... and then I buy 2 in 2 weeks, opppps!
guess I know someone who is getting some new jewelry this summer!

I have quite a collection of "N" frames. This gun is smaller "L" frame. Like the 586/686 I guess. I think the N frame would be a better choice but that is just me...

I had one...it is ok but for what they cost I was not impressed, 5 shot and I hate the crappy hogue grips every gun gets now. The short barrel is not as accurate as my 6.5" ones, recoil not bad but again accuracy suffers...I will stick to my M29-2's, best bever made and the 29-10 is also very well made, stay away from all other years. I sold mine to fund another vintage S&W .44
