Dark Days, Panic Buying, What did you get? What did you sell?

When the OIC drops, does anyone know how the Jane and Finch/gang-gun market will be?
Will they also be ceasing their gun buying and complying?

Whisper on the street is their industries are booming, I've got my eye on a tech9! Just waiting for t-bone to finish my background check.

I bought nothing restricted. I had a few for sale because I just wasn't using them anymore, but they are excellent arms and I don't really need any more space on the pistol shelf I suppose. The only thing I might look at would be a revolver, but I've also owned a few and let them all go so I should simply admit to myself they aren't for me and focus on hunting and target rifles and semi-auto pistols for my hobby enjoyment.

On the other hand, I made a huge run on 10-round Magpul and MDT AICS-style magazines in .223, .308, .30-06, and .300 Mag sizes. I think I own about 40 now. Suck it, Marco!

The only people who should be buying are those who live in Alberta. The rest of us will have our handguns confiscated within a year or two as municipalities will have the power to make handgun ownership illegal in their communities. We will be forced to turn it over, and your conservative premier can't save you. Anyone who actually thinks they're going to grandfather their newly purchased handguns is in for a world of hurt.

This is an incorrect take. The new bill that has been tabled removes the provision allowing municipalities to ban handguns and instead puts that power back in the hands of the federal Government. No one is safe, regardless of municipality or province of residence. They are coming for everything.

The low-hanging fruit gets a bit higher after this. Up til now, Trudeau could sorta make-believe criminals are walking into gun stores and getting their guns over the counter, but he won't have that anymore. Unless one of us granfathered people actually goes out and commits a massacre, it's going to be tough for people to blame us.

Not saying they won't try to take another bite out of gun rights eventually, but at this point it's beating a dead horse.

If you think canadian gun control laws are based on fact and reason then think again.

Just look at gun source of NS massacre. And then the following gun law proposal. It makes 0 sense. I'm sure liberals are going to used every opportunity to make legal gun owner's life miserable.

Not saying for sure they won't do something else, but I think gun owners are worth more alive than dead at this point. Without us, what will they use to motivate their voters?

They've already legalized the drugs, they've already legalized ### marriage, abortion in Canada has never really been in danger. What else is there that a) people give a rat's ass about, and b) isn't a pipe dream?

Liberal leadership has to think about longterm sustainability of their party. If anything, they need the Conservatives to come back and undo some of this so they have something to rally against.

This. We are political pawns. We are easy low hanging fruit in the gun control world because we are gun owners and users in plain sight, the government knows where a lot of our guns are, and we (for the most part) comply. So it appears as though the Liberals are achieving results by banning and confiscating firearms. Lefties believe that reducing the number of guns reduces the number of shootings, simple as that. It's easy to rule over a bunch of morons.

Made a few purchases personally. Go a few of my future wish list items now since may not have a chance to shoot em at a range first before buying lol

Got a Canik Mete SFT, Norinco TT-33, and Glock 17 Gen 5. Still waiting for 1 to transfer and 2 to ship but can’t wait. Will be the first and only handguns I’ll be able to buy.

Managed to get an excellent condition p226 (stainless, no rail) from a great member on the ee for $600 shipped. Thought it was a great price and have been wanting a sig for a while.

made my first pistol purchases, iv been shopping around for a couple years but was always just going to do it latter. looks like that's not an option any more. picked a sp101 match champion and a sig p320 legion, i like the modularity of the sig, and ive had my eye on the ruger for a long time.

Sold nothing and bought myself another CZ Shadow 1 from EE. I will NOT buy anything new to pay any tax to fund the government and let them ban my handguns.

Not a huge handgun guy since the kids don't go to the range with me anymore but picked up a Polymer 80 PFS9 complete pistol along with a PFC9 compact frame only. Then bought a PSA Dagger from Irunguns and the Glock 19 long slide kit and parts from Brownells.

Congrats to everyone who bought a new handgun, especially new owners! I finally purchased another one today hoping it will get transfered. So a SIG STX and my first .22 pistol a Norinco Olympia ($199 from Marstar). I guess these will sadly be my last two handgun purchases unless Cons can reverse this one day.
