Apologies in advance for the crap pic.
Bren 2 arrived today and when comparing it to the grand daddy of sbr's she holds her own.
If you measure by the body of the rifle they are pretty much the same in OAL. The Krink's steel folder makes it a tad longer than the Bren. I tried the AR stock adapter with a Magpul stock and they measured out to be the same in length as the Bren 2 factory stock.

Well, off to the range! Hopefully we can get more than one weekend of fun time with these!

Looks awesome. Enjoy it

was it from IRG?

Yup.

There was one other person at the range with one of these. Good to see them getting used!

As expected the blast is quite obnoxious but fun as all hell. I was getting decent minute-of-fist with iron sights standing at 25 yards. Ate cheap old Federal 45gr and 55gr no issues. Mags were a bit finicky. It really prefers its own brand.

Odd - my 14" Bren 2 had no issues with ASC and C-Products 10/20 and 10/30 mags, PMags, or Lancer L5AWM 5/30s. I wonder if minute differences in the Mag Well or Mag Catch dimensions account for the performance difference?

Glad to hear that the Lancer's are good to go, as it's most of the mags i have.

I finally figured it out.
The 2 mags that I had issues with feed properly if they aren't at 5rds then loaded on a closed bolt. My guess is that the 5th round was preventing the mag from seating all the way in even after slamming in in hard. The mag stayed put which was strange.
When I loaded up to 4rd there was no issues on those mags.

This probably wouldn't have even been as issue if I was by myself at the range. By habit I rack the bolt a few times with no mag to clear before handing it over to someone else. Otherwise the bolt would be open for easy loading.

Basically operator error. Bren is still awesome.
