So I've looked high and low for replacement recoil spring for an S&W M&P 22. The only one I could find was in the U.S. with a dealer who doesn't ship to Canada. I've literally spent hours searching.
My questions are, does anyone know where to find one or has anyone had any luck using/modding a recoil spring from another .22 semi auto pistol?
Thanks, James

Why do you think it need a new spring? Just curious as I have the same firearm. I’ve got 1000+ through it, tried everything before I started using mini mags. I don’t believe we have had a fte with them. It is better now than new with bulk ammo but still not 100%, and solid point really make the difference in bulk ammo, I don’t think hollows have enough inertia being lighter. A good solid hold seems to make a difference, my daughter was holding it kind of lazy and not a real stiff arm, so we worked on that and it’s better with her now. Mine really likes to have lots of oil to keep it cycling flawlessly as well.

It’ll shoot anything so long as it’s cleaned really well and a proper gun CLP is used. Ballistol is what I run and no longer have any issues. The outside of the barrel gets dirty while firing and creates friction between the barrel and slide. Ours has over 5k and runs strong. Just has to be clean and lubed before each session. Keep a boresnake, ballistol, and shop towels in your range bag if you plan on running more than 300rounds in it.

Aren't these lifetime warranty? Any issues send it to the warranty centre and they can sort out the parts
