As some of you know Im going to be new to pistols and have 3 new pistols coming my way . I like to do things the RIGHT WAY !
Is there a guide line to new pistol break in .

Unpack it
Wipe off the packing oils they are not there for lubrication they are there for rust prevention
properly lube it ( google or youtube will have a bazillion videos on how to strip and clean and lube your particular gun ) I rarely use oil anymore personally I basically just use slip2000 grease and a hobby model paintbrush and apply a very thin coat on metal on metal parts. Oil I found sucks generally as it migrates and really doesn't properly coat and protect like a very thin coat of good gun grease.

All I would add, is to take advantage of the time waiting for their arrival by buying a crap ton of ammo for them. I use Arsenalforce dot com for that because it does stock checks more often than any other Canadian ammo search site I've found.
