So im not getting these off of the ee just from other sites.

One of my favorites, "rare Springfield trp 1911 only asking $3800"lol

Just having some fun do to all the craziness. Just in case people get offended, I understand it's a free market.

Glock 17 Gen5 @ 1600

Thompson Center Contender with 4 barrels @ 3000

If people are getting these price, power to them. It's a rock and a hard place for me - want so many more but can't justify the zero value once said and done...

When Town Houses in Toronto are $1.3 million who are we to judge ???

Nothing makes sense anymore

I got news for the owners... when the collapse happens the billionaires that orchestrated this fiasco are going to be buying them up at the pennies on the dollar our pistols will be worth...

CZ 75 Pre B for $2600 at Switzer’s. Sure it was in very good condition but that’s still like, $1800? overpriced.

Also saw an M&P 40 non range kit, just the regular gun and two mags, for $1300.

Everyone is trying to offload or offset costs now I imagine. People have realised that the second the ban to sell them clicks into effect everything you own is worthless so people are offloading the things for max price now.

It could be a handgun or a 1lb flawless diamond... if you can't sell it, its technically worth nothing.

Unless it's an item you plan to enjoy the rest of your life... in that case, priceless. IMO

I certainly agree that it is invaluable, but it is not priceless. The amount of money it's worth is solidly determinable by your inability to attain any $ at all for it. $0.00
And I think that this the point for a lot of people that's setting in.... and why people started mass selling off extra handguns or the high end ones they determine they like the least. Everyone always has in the back of their mind that they can sell it if they want, they can get something new or trade it for something, so they have been comfortable to hold because it was worth something, but its now or never to actually get the value out of them. If something is likely to collect dust for the rest of its life, or parts are impossible to find, or you got it cheap and were holding it to pass along, its like the horsecops throwing your money into the smelter along with the gun after you die.

Of course they still have value, perhaps even more than before. You just need to think more Pablo Escobar than deBeers.

Serious note, I don’t care if they are no longer able to be sold, I buy guns I like. I was once told to never buy anything if replacement would cause financial stress. Good advice I think. Guns in my house are bought with play money; never planned on getting it back.

Fear and greed are driving the market right now. FOMO. I've sold nothing and purchased nothing because I made my 'adjustments' some time ago.

I buy guns rather than go to the bar or casino. Beer you can enjoy once but the guns can go to the range over and over again. The rare time I've sold anything the money went right back into reloading components or the next gun on the want list. I bought them to enjoy them not as a commodity or investment.
