Where buy Bulk 7.62x39 non-corrosiv ???

I heard that the corrosive is not very accurate either.. Is there any truth to this?

How long can you leave a firearm thats used corrosive ammo before cleaning? I don't think that your going to have any pitting after a few days... would you?
Would like to know before I bought a case of corrosive.

most rifles that shoot 7.62x39 are fairly easy and fast to take appart and clean shouldent take more than 15 minutes to take down clean and put back together after a day of shooting.

the corrossive is likely a bit less accurate, but when compared for price, decent non corrosive is gonna run you 10-15 bucks per 20 as opposed to 2-4 bucks a box for the corrosive.

I've got a couple hundred rounds of Norinco and WOlf surplus to my needs. Unfortunately it can't go "cheap"

Cheap non-corrosive 7.62 doesn't exist.

I would clean your gun the same day you shoot it. I had rust build up a bit once after 24hrs when i had an sks. If you pour windex down your barrel when you are finished shooting that might buy you a bit more time. Then again some people never clean their sks so whatever i guess.

clean your barrel gas, system and bolt with in 24hours and your good to go.
use windex or soapy hot water to break down the salts and then use oil. chrome barrels i just clean with oil.

Experiments done by the US Army before WWII showed that corrosion began as soon as humidity rose above 50%, which is overnight in most regions of the country.

I bought 500 rds of norinco a while back for $50, whish i had bought another 500.
As far as corrosive ammo goes, I put 120-30 rds through my beater norinco sks, put it in a case, left it for 9 months to see what would happen. It was a little hard to take it apart and a full day of cleaning and bam, good as new. No jams, shoots the same , I was really shocked. I don't recommend it but I really wanted to see what would happen.

I've put a couple 3 hundred rounds through my sks in a sitting, gave it a swab down the barrel with hoppes #9,then liberal dose of oil.Same with the guts in the bolt area.A couple months later, broke it apart for a good cleaning, and the only corrosion had started in the gas piston area(in tube,on rod) After taking it apart 5 or 6 times, its an easy affair. As for the non-corrosive,I had a cabelas catalog(U.S.) and it had non-c ammo, wolf. But unless you cross the border,I dunno how you'd get it.

NOPE, the truth is most guys don't shoot very well especially when you put a tangent sighted semi in thier hands. 2 cases of czech I have shot performed as well or better then your average commercial hunting ammo.

The 24hr rule for cleaning a gun after shooting Corrosive ammo is misleading. Everything depends on humidity. You could let the gun sit in the desert for decades without rust, but just a couple hours at the beach or in the dense woods and there'll be plenty of rust.

I shoot almost exclusively corrosive in my milsurps, rarely clean the same day, it's a bit more of a PITA if you let them sit for a couple of months before giving them a good scrubbing (like I sometimes end up doing), still have to find anything more than surface rust on any of them, it always cleans up easily. Speaking of which, I haven't cleaned my SKS after taking her out a few months ago (september, I think), maybe I'll do it this weekend. As for "cheap" non-corrosive ammo, these days you'd have to roll your own, for <maybe> about 400$ to the thousand.

agreed

I have had very good results with czech corrosive. Not one dud but I have seen others who have had duds. When I sort the czech by overall length and weight then batch shoot , I get sub 1/2 inch groups at a hundred:D
