IRUNGUNS questions and answers

So what I'm getting out of this is that because of your lack of staff you are screwing over Canadians in their possible last few days to ever buy handguns again.... outstanding.
If you are so busy and someone orders something they shouldn't then push it off to the side until you have time or delete it. Shouldn't punish the rest of us.

Yes, they would be subject to ATF approval. Most of them are good to go.

Excellent, so for Curio's and Relic's (milsurps), not made in the USA (I understand US issued milsurps may not be acceptable to ATF), even after the "freeze" then can be sold to Americans and they can be exported to them, all legally of course, it just involving a bit of $$ for the service. Big thumbs up there, check!

So then the next question is what is the best way to go about doing this? It's not going to be easy to offer a Luger for sale on gunbroker with zero feedback as a seller, and stating the pistol is in another country but will be shipped via an export service that will take 2-3 months.
Is Irunguns a gunbroker seller and able to sell them on some kind of consignment basis? I would think that would be the best way to do it, and then its just a matter of making the consignment fee + export charges financially viable that it is still a worthy venture to undertake.
At the end of the day it has to make sense for seller and IG, nobody is here to give away their guns or work for free. Luckily the US dollar is so high that part of the "plus" of selling to the US is that we are getting a 30% bonus right off the bat.

Should they should maintain a 400% staffing level in case the government drops the hammer at any given moment?
Gimme a break - they're doing their best like every other retailer in the country

Are you guys able to import optics from other retailers? I'm after a Sig BDX 5x30 and can't find them in canada anymore and the optic seem to be subject to US Department of State laws. Just curious if this is something you guys do with your export service?

Could you not just charge a non refundable fee (10% of order for example) to those who are too ignorant to not know or ask what is legal prior to ordering. This would deter people from trying to order prohibited items and cover your expense of dealing with them. At the same time it would allow the rest of us to participate in purchasing off the US site.

Sounds good to me, c'mon irun, let us order

They already posted their positions and the why. Dealing with 10% charge take again time..handling of emails, phone ect.

With the export time anyway, it will be foolish to try to order and import a restricted when the border - transfer of restricted- can be shut down anytime.

That shut down was possibly the 14th, the 16th , some advanced the 30 th. The SECU seat every week. So who know when the rug will be pulled from under our and their feet ?

IRUNGUNS took a business decision that will cost them..same as other guns dealer that will not get inventory back in stock.

My son in law wants to buy his first restricted before its too late... the gun he wants isn't available anywhere in Canada.
Irg has it on their American page. But instead of being able to buy it they shut us out. I hope people don't forget this.

Will you remember all the other Canadian retailers who couldn't get you what you want either?

Do you ship only on certain days? My order 12605 has been approved by cfo and everything has been paid and has been waiting for shipping for days. Just curious? Prob will ship today now that I asked thanks IRG!

I understand that we Canadian gun owners are stressed with all the crap going on but I think you’re taking IRG’s decision too personally. I mean, just think about it. Do you think that a gun store WANTS to limit the products it offers it customers when there is a buying frenzy going on? I do not doubt that there are scads of RPAL holders recently clogging up IRG’s website by ordering PROHIBITED guns. If one were to be shipped to Canada, I’m sure the legal ramifications would be principally borne by the company and not the ignorant purchasers.

Do you really think that those who are ignorant of Canadian gun classification (was taught in our CFSC course BTW) are gonna read the fine print re: a 10% fee for non-permissible purchases? C’mon, man! You can just imagine the howls of indignation and allegations of “cheating” customers. Honest question: have you worked in retail? Many ppl are totally unreasonable. Trust me, IRG made a difficult decision but it will save them a $hit ton of grief.

Who said anything about fine print. Make it inexcusable. Have them click a box agreeing to it at checkout. Can be in big bold letters. Just a suggestion. As to your question... I worked retail when I was 18 for about 6 months. Couldn't do it ever again lol. Your correct..probably will save them a ton of grief, I'm just a little disappointed i guess as there was so much I wanted to get from US site.

Hi IRG Team!

I am a bit confused - website says all orders ceased June 6, but update said loading guns for June 14.
FYI, I am looking to purchase a canik mete sft. Hope to know if you're will to give another run.

I think a disclaimer for barrel size and "non cranky customers only" may assist the rest of us that can 1) count 2) measure 3) remember Canadians are nice. Lead from the front fellow gun buyers lol

Dear I Run Guns

I just writing for some information ...

On their website it says that starting from June 6th 2022 you will be no longer exporting handguns from your American Irunguns.com website to Canada….

However Do you still allow and do the importing of handguns from other American third party FFL firearm dealers from the united States to Canada for Canadian residents through your importing service?

Thank you so much for your help and time.
