I thought I’d ask you guys/gals.

I have a Cooper 52 with a push feed bolt ... which I want to disassemble for cleaning. Any avoidable surprises I should be aware of?

Now I want to tap your experience with a Savage 218 (break-open single shot). Anyone out there ever take the action apart?

Heck of a spring in that bolt. And chews up a shoelace pretty bad.

Being able to get intimate with a bolt is a good thing.
