So whos buying a CZ Bren 2 MS ? Its non res !

IRG delivered 3 weeks ago on their initial sale of 8", 11" and 14" 5,56mm "Pistols" along with a limited number of 7.62x39mm gun and factory Buttstocks. Subsequent orders have also likely been delivered by now. I've had my 14" rifle to the Range 3 times already and am absolutely loving it!!

Awesome to hear! I'm really debating getting a Bren, they just look like they shoot great.

Was the announcement of the NR Bren 2 our last hurrah or is there anything else that we could potentially look forward to in the future? I recall hearing about more SL-8's that were supposed to land last winter, I wonder if they're still en route?

If they were ordered prior to handgun freeze announcement and the stores can't cancel, then they will arrive. Otherwise a lot of stores I have talked to are simply not going to risk getting stuck.

Government could drop another OIC at any time expanding the list of prohibs. This was made clear in the handgun freeze announcement

Aren't they on summer break now?

Sure, but what makes you think importers and retailers are going to gamble on if the guns show up before an OIC in the fall?

If they were on order before the latest announcement, they will likely arrive. Most stores I have spoken to are only ordering/re stocking items that were not mentioned

CTCS has the 14" 556 in stock

It's the pistol version though and can't find any stocks.
Looking for the 16" I think...I've got the preorder for the nr in play already but I'm thinking along the lines of Bartok in buying a restricted now so i can shoot it for a while. Also, the factory versions are 'nice and tight' compared to adding on a stock (at least from the vids I've seen).
Anyways, it's all just like a bad blow job right now...lol

It doesn't have to be that way. Order up a Restricted "pistol", screw an empty Buffer Tube onto the provided Adapter Block, add the buttstock of your choice, and then blaze away all summer long. Shoot the piss out of it configured as a non-folder until such time as a factory folding Buttstock comes along, then make the swap. If you are worried about the dreaded "Wobble" with the provided Stock Adapter Block, just back out the screw that secures the Sling Loop at the top rear of the Receiver. That will put opposing force on the Adapter Block and remove most (if not all) of the wobble, easy-peasey.

If (and that is a BIG if), the NR Bren 2s arrive before the next Prohibition OIC, then you get to own your pre-ordered, long-barrel, civilian variant to take to the woods - at least until they are also banned by the next "evergreen catch-up" as promised by the Lieberals for this Fall. If the OIC drops before the Fall and the NR rifles do not arrive, at least you will have enjoyed the experience of owning and firing the Restricted, Miitary-configuration Bren 2 over the course of the Summer. Those awaiting only the arrival of a NR Bren 2 may never get that same opportunity....

IMHO, it is best to hedge one's bets against the Fall "catch-up OIC" by buying and enjoying a Restricted Bren 2 now. Worst case, you can sell the used Restricted Bren 2 to take possession of your NR pre-order rifle when they arrive (If the OIC has not dropped).
