I wish I could buy one. But the not a gun registry , registry is keeping my wallet full and My safe empty

I was too. Until I found out it’s not a registry.

Law now requires seller to keep a record of the gun, serial number, and pal # of the buyer of ANY firearm for 20 years, producible on demand to the authorities. Sounds like a registry to me. They just tricked us into keeping our own registry instead of a central federal one.

Yea I'm not sure what you think you found out but you might want to check again

How is it a registry when the serial number isn’t recorded? I didn’t have to provide it. All they do is check the buyers license is valid.

Businesse rules and civilian rules are different.

Buy a NR from a business and its essentially a long gun registry.

Civilian rules just state a check.

Csc told me they don’t have to provide it when they make the call. That could be a lie, but after they call the CFP you can easily change your mind and back out after the call is made. So is that firearm still registered to you even though you didn’t buy it? No..

More for me I guess.
