Picked up three new 10 round magazines for my CZ457 the other day, finally got around to testing them out in my gun and found that two don't seat the bullets correctly while loaded in the gun.

Issue is that they don't tip the round up correctly and cannot load, instead they sit flush against the follower while loaded and cant strip from the magazine in any way. Just bumps against the face of the barrel below the chamber.

I compared them against the functioning magazines, and the follower sits at a slightly different angle. Both of the non functioning mags are marked for 22lr, so I'm curious whether this is a manufacturing mistake. Anyone else have issues like this, or know of any fixes?

Thanks!

I bought a metal 10rd magazine for my cz457 Mtr recently and it just doesn't feed rounds, the spring I either too weak or theirs just too much friction internally.

I found the same thing the one time I grabbed a couple steel 10rd CZ 22LR magazines. The steel body of the magazine is not polished, it's pretty rough, and the steel follower would start to bind on it's way up. I had used 5 round steel mags before without issue, so perhaps it was the combination of the rough finish and the curved body of the 10rd mags that caused the binding since the 5rd mags were straight. It's one thing to have a bit of friction in a centerfire mag with a nice strong spring, but the spring in a 22LR mag is fairly light as it is. Returned them as I didn't trust them, and continued using the polymer mags which have always fed super smooth and without a hitch.

I have bought 4 of the 455/452/457 10 round mags in the last year. When I disassembled them I found the inside of the mag has a ledge that doesn't allow them to ramp up properly. I have had to file all the ledges off the mags to allow for proper feeding. No issues with function after

I have a 10 round steel mag I bought for my 455’s. I never use it as it is sharp edged. I like the plastic 5 round. Is there a 10 round plastic one available, does anyone know?

10 round factory Polymer mags are available.
I got a couple off a site vendor Firearms Outlet Canada

Yes sir. They Exist. Grabbed some from Firearms Outlet Canada and Dominion Outdoors last month. An aftermarket +3 magazine extension by Anarchy Outdoors also exists.

Go to just about any CZ dealer, and you'll find polymer 5, 10, and 25 round magazines. As with any firearm related items, you might have to look around to find some in stock, but they're very common.
