Summer Handgun Levels?

Well, C21 did not pass before the summer break. So it appears it’s business as usual until mid-September.

What can we expect for handguns being restocked during summer? A mad rush to get anything and everything up here? Continued limited supply?

Just wondering what everyone else’s thoughts are on what we can expect.🤙🏻
 
From what the site sponsors have been saying, the distributors are pretty much sold out or have very slim pickings left.

It would depend how fast distributors can import more and if they are even willing to.
 
Importers and dealers would be crazy to take a chance in stocking pistols now. I only have a few left and selling at cost and once they are gone that is it for me. I am being offered nice collectible pistols that I would have died to buy for the Shop before this mess and I am not buying any for sure now.

Fair enough. It’s super risky if your shipment is delayed or you bring in way too much before and can’t move it all before the eventual deadline. But I can’t help but think there’s a nice window for high demand still. But maybe that’s why we’ll just see a trickle come in here and there, kind of like how it’s been for the last two weeks.
 
I'd seriously flood Canada with guns. Ukraine didn't have enough small arms when they were invaded so what happens if a combined army of millions decides to invade Canada?

So where would find all these guns, and would you pay up front, because that is what it takes.
 
Many importers/distributors have guns paid for and waiting on paperwork in various countries, I have a feeling we will still be seeing lots of stuff come in still, although I doubt they'll be placing any new orders.

So you're selling every handgun you own, not even keeping one?
 
Keeping my personal handguns, I even bought one last week. Selling all the ones left in inventory at the Shop.
 
Hopefully dealers bring in more stock so those that couldn’t get the pistol they wanted during the mad rush have another chance to
 
I think in the coming weeks gun stores will have more stock. We are already seeing that now.

People who have overpaid on EE will be kicking themselves.

Importers that deal directly with the public should open up for July and August, there is no risk over the summer while the government is on break.

Personally, I will be emailing both IRunGuns and Prophet River and see if they'll do imports over the summer.

I hope this is only a Quebec mentality and not across the board… Selling at cost right now?! How did hou even manage to survive as a business if you sell at cost when demand is at it’s highest and supply at it’s lowest it’s ever been. My god, sorry if I sound like a prick but do you even have a basic understanding of economics?!
 
Clearly, as anyone has seen over the last few weeks, all stores are finding it impossible to keep anything stocked. Any gun worth owning is being sold.
I think distributors - who know the market well - will hold off on certain types. I bet they'll all keep bringing in garbage guns like norinco and girsan because they're cheap and they work. People seem to buy them because they're affordable. I'd be shocked if they didn't bring a huge load of SIG, Glock, Walther, CZ, Colt etc. The mainstream high quality guns all seem to sell out. Anything that we've seen sell over it's MSRP by a second hand owner would be stupid not to re-stock.

I'd say they stop bringing anything in in late August. There will be another massive panic buy/sell. Then any dealers with stock left in September will likely either A) scalp the crap out of their prices or B) panic liquidate.

You’re probably about right. They’ll break even on what’s left, but will make sure they cash in on the next panic wave.
$1500 and less pistols and revolvers will basically sell themselves.
