If any of you have been looking at my recent posts I have purchased a few pistols due to the Sock Boy and his band
What would be a good quality but not crazy expensive .22LR revolver to purchase. ? Also what barrel length ? I don’t want to purchase Chinese !
Thank You !

I think all of these options listed above are excellent value for the money. You just have to decide your budget. Personally I'd stick with Ruger and S&W. And Colt if you can afford it.

If you just want a 22LR wheelgun that reliably goes bang, the single action Ruger Wrangler simply cannot be beat. It's crazy good value.

Many will tell you that a double action revolver is the best training tool you could ever get in terms of developing your accuracy. Personally, I'd get a S&W, but you're looking at an easy $700+ for a used one.

Ruger Single Six. Well built and reliable gun. I have one with the 22 magnum cylinder. I shoot it out to a 100 meters at the gongs. My older Colt officer model out performs it accuracy wise. Another one is the Smith and Wesson K 22. I wasn’t impressed with the Ruger Wrangler. I don’t like its balance or its accuracy at longer distance. My guns mentioned have also been tuned which helps a lot. I couldn’t decide what type of 22 I wanted for a revolver so I tried a few double and single actions. Buy better quality and cry once.

I have a smith and wesson 617 10 shot and absolutely love it. I also have a Ruger single 6 convertible which is nice but I prefer my 617.

I have an old Ruger Single Six with LR and WMR cylinders, 4 5/8 " barrel. It's nice for the adjustable sights.

Yeah I could shoot my over 6 inch barrel Single Six with a 2x scope quite well at 100.

I like the Alfa Proj for the affordability factor, and it’s plenty accurate enough for the shooting I do. The Ruger and SW offerings already discussed are certainly nicer guns, but have matching price tags particularly in this market, so for me the decision should also consider how often and what kind of shooting you plan to use it for.

For accuracy, good trigger pull & available replacement parts it's hard to beat a S&W 17 or 617. I have an older 6 shot 617 and it's a beautiful gun, lots of heft with a full length underlug and accurate. Even came with the wood finger groove grips. GP100 is also a good gun but the Smith trigger pull gives it a leg up on the Ruger.
