Cdp....

Canadian Defensive Pistol. Sounds good but what is it exactly? :nest:

CDP competitor course is the CSSA Defensive Pistol Course (Based off of IDPA).
Course requirements are a 9mm (or greater) handgun with an appropriate holster (Strong side only, covers trigger, unmodified). 3 magazines for auto-loaders & four speed loaders are recommended, but you can get away with 2 & 3 respectively.

You must be a member of the CSSA ($45) & a $40 course fee (Unless prices have changed for 2008)

In the course you will be exposed to pretty much all the techniques and abilities required for a CDP match.

Draw and reholster handguns in a safe manner.
Learn scoring methods
Use of cover and reloading techniques

Also, forgot to mention the scenerios....example- shooting terrorists that have taken hostages in an airplane fuselage and then proceeding to the cockpit door, busting it open and shooting the terrorists holding the pilot and co-pilot. Scenerios are only limited by your imagination and size of your range.
