Shooting double action

I would be ecstatic with 3" at 25 yrds. I can't do that anymore with single action.

I never shot other at my own range, till about 10 yrs ago when we moved, when I retired at 70, than shot some steel challenge, but last year my hands are going, so not sure what i can do today, will have to head out to the range and see if I can hold one, one of these days. had the youngest granddaughter out last time I shot , 22 Hi Standard , My model 19-2 4in and a Jericho 9mm, never bothered with the heavy stuff. That was last year.
Back in the day I shot colt 1911 and a python., and some 12-2. Summer, winter , inside with 22 lr., or a 52 smith

I almost never shoot SA with a revolver, unless of course it is a SA revolver. Shooting a double action revolver quickly AND accurately is a very good feeling and provides a nice sense of accomplishment.

I will have to take your word for that. I have yet to have that experience. But now I have something (more) to work on.

Sometimes I feel we are being trolled by the ganderite

He's a much more experienced and skilled shooter who can generally run rings around the rest of us, but everyone's got some niche they've delved into more deeply than anyone else, so we can all learn this or that from each other, and nobody's going to be the top expert on every little thing across the board. And often you get to be the top expert in some areas by not spreading out your interests so widely and so not diluting your time.

Ganderite has been using the same target for the past 30 years, he keeps sending every round through the same hole.

That is very true.

However, today I put up some clean targets and shot one in single action (with a Smith M67) and then tried a few cylinders of double action thru a Ruger Six (in 38 Spl) in double action. Not as good, but better than I expected.

Tried double action again. I watched some experts shooting DA on Youtube, and see what they do.

The little Charter Arms looks like a J frame, but is cruder and rougher. The Ruger is a 3" 38Spl that has been worked on. A very nice double action gun, and i am starting to get the hang of it.

15 yards.
