Hey all
So I just picked up a couple hundred rounds of PPU 240gn JHP ammo in 44mag to use in my “panic buy” S&W 29-2. I picked this brand because selection these days is extremely limited, and I need brass to reload.
Their website lists this round at 1500fps. According to my reloading books, this is barn burner stuff. But no where on the box does it say +p or anything to indicate it as “HOT”. Now I understand that older Smiths cant handle steady diets of “HOT” ammo. I plan to reload to moderate levels, but gotta get the brass first. Would you consider this ammo too stout for my Smith?
