I would love to see a gen2 that has a huge cut in weight and an AR handguard.

Definitely an awesome idea for a little rifle, but it weighs over 7 pounds. The image you get in your head when you read about it is this nice compact little rifle, but it's actually a bit of a chonker.

The proprietary mags are relatively cheap at ~$36 and readily available now, so if that is stopping someone from diving in - don't let it slow you down.

I'm curious about wanting an AR handguard - the chassis and the top rail add-on are perfectly functional.

Who's gonna shoot steel case corrosive surplus though these though?

Better question is who wouldn't. The accuracy of the cartridge is decent, cost is low, and a bolt gun is the easiest platform to clean the corrosive salts out of. Take my CZ527 out to 400 all the time with Chinese surplus. If these BCLs run surplus well and if they come out with a 20 round mag for 7.62x39 I'll be all over it.

It may end up needing a stiffer firing pin spring with that ammo, BCL sent me one in order to handle the harder primers in specific AR 5.56 rated ammo designed for automatic fire that I have and use with my Bison.
