Blue book values (IMO) are not really reflective of what is really happening in the market. Values are subject to a lot of different things such as location and condition. I find that Blue Book values are for the most part a bit low and the asking prices on the interenet auction sites such as Guns America often reflect an asking price but don't publish the actual sales price so you don't have any idea what the item really sold for. Also, they are in the US which is often a totally different market than here still, if you take that all into consideration then you can usually come up with a place to start.
