Burris made in the Philippines

I bought a BURRIS Fullfield II 3X – 9X 40 mm with Ballistic Plex Reticle.
New in Box for $200.00. I thought it was made in the U.S.A. but this one is marked “Made in the Philippines” Has anyone had experience with this model. Is it as good as the US version? I am leaning towards selling it before I use it, but I would like to hear opinions, good and otherwise.

I'm using one and it has so far worked well. I'm happy with it on my Norinco M14.

Nothing wrong with the two that I'm using at present. They seem to be as well made as most Leupolds. Optics are clear and adjustments are perfect.

My Nikon Buckmasters is made in the Philippines as well...works great and optics is sharp. Nice to know the people in the homeland can make something decent if they wanted to.

The difference between the Burris and the Nikon made off-shore is that the Nikon is made in a Nikon factory, the Burris was tendered out to a bidder that makes optics but to the Burris specs. For $200 I can't see you go wrong as long as don't expect a lifetime of use out of it.

I read that the Burris is made in the same Philippine plant as the Simmons....

Thanks for your opinions. I just checked local retail price and I did O.K. I think that I will give it a try.
