I still believe they intend to narrow in on detachable box mags for semi autos only.

This was the government not understanding how firearms other than black rifles work.

Interesting choice with the 24".

I've seen some ballistic charts showing most .357 rounds maximize their velocity between 16"-17" as all powder has been burnt up by that point.

I chose the 24 inch mostly because I didn't have one, it's a great plinker with gas check cast bullets with little recoil.... lots of fun! My carrying choice is still the 20 inch/44 mag though.

i’ve always felt 20 inch had the best mix of mag capacity, pointability, handy-ness, and still a decent sight radius
