Sometimes aluminum and steel cased ammo will give problems, but a properly running pistol shouldn't have an issue with these, either.


For accuracy, few of us are good enough to notice the difference.

I've owned one for quite awhile which I've used in IDPA and 3 gun. I have thousands of rounds through it with no issues. I replaced the sights with trigicon HDs and recently bought the Wilson combat grip which is great although I had to mod the magazine baseplates to get them to work.

Well the last package arrived today ! Really impressed with the Sig Sauer P320F with Contrast Sights . It fits my hand well !
Can’t wait for a range day and try the new pistol out !

How much experience do you have shooting pistols?
The sights that the pistol comes with are quite decent. I feel you would be better served by shooting it as much as you can and praticing with the sights you have. Dryfire pratice also helps and there is a prethora of informative videos on the youtube to help you with dry fire drills.
Tarting up your new pistols will not make you a better shooter, instead, learn to shoot well with the sights you have and once you have a solid foundation then you may benifit from different sights.
Hard front sight focus, thats really all you need. And a ton of ammo. Happy shooting!
 
Thanks for the reply Pirate ! Total new to shooting Pistols and Revolvers . Only used long arms for hunting previously . But I’m in the game now and want to learn all I can !

Questions Again !
I have not taken the my new P320 F apart yet but would like to know
Is the guide rod metal or polymer ?
If its metal is it hollow or solid ?

Should I be buying a spare parts kit for the P320 F just in case the Sock Boy does something else ?

I find the stock sights to be large and clear enough to be still picked up and aligned well compared to other pistols I own, which is great considering that my always poor eyesight is not getting better as my age progresses (and hence why now that it's end of days, I've ordered, for what could possibly be my last handgun purchase because of the Trudeau Clown Show, a pistol that can accommodate an optic).

For starters I hoarded 7 extra slides at least on top of barrels, parts and grips. Calculations says I’m good for at least $3-4million worth of 9mm rounds of shooting. Could probably outlast my grandkids even if I shoot a lot.
 
I originally purchased a full size p320 a few months ago with contrast sites and liked the gun a lot.
Decided to get the X-five TXG Caliber exchange kits and a flat trigger from FOC to turn it into the equivalent of a Legion P320 and what a big difference it made!
The muzzle flip is significantly reduced with the extra weight of the grip, the lightening cuts on the slide and maybe the lighter spring? the different grip fits my larger hands so much better as well. The new sites are very nice but also went with a romeo1 since the new slide was optic ready.

Overall very happy with the modifications made... just wish I could have pulled the trigger originally on a legion instead of the normal full size, would have saved about $2-300 but with how hard it is to find a Legion I was okay with it.

Solid metal guide rod that is attached to the spring so you can't go wrong. Other models like the Legion have a separate guide rod and spring.
I'd suggest looking up a quick YouTube video on disassembly/ cleaning and tackle taking it apart.
It really isn't too hard at all and you'll be able to field strip it down in a few seconds after 2-3 attempts.
 
I bought two take down tools to apparently make this easier to do
1. The Sig Armourer Tool
2 A polymer tool from a Tactical place in the USA

#1 Is the FCU the same on the P320 F as the M17 ?
#2 Could I purchase an M17 polymer frame with manual safety and then just drop in the FCU from my P320 F and all is good ?
#3 Would I also need to purchase other parts to make the swap ?
Bought 3 pistols at the start od Sock Boys B.S. and still not made it to the range due to some health issue tgat I hope will be resolved soon !

im no expert so do your own research, but the thumb safety model is a different FCU.

#2 should be a drop in, the safety model is the one thats a bit difficult to make work with other frames. there are M17 frames without the safety cutout out there I believe.
#3 watch youtube vids theres people that have removed the saftety from the FCU.
 
Well now I see there’s a new thread here concerning the P320 and accidentally discharging . I think I asked about that in this thread apparently the older P320 ,s could be sent in and have the FCU fixed so it solved the problem . The newer P320,S are supposed to have this issue fixed . Mine is a new P320 purchased when Sock Boy stared this B.S. I certainly don’t want a pistol that is going to go whenever IT
decides to !

I wouldn't panic but keep an eye out on that problem. Contact Sig and see what they say. The accidental discharge seems to prevail but odds are remote. The old safety adage of treat every gun like it is ready to fire stands out no matter what you are carrying. I don't think even if I was allowed or could I would carry a gun fully loaded and ready to fire no matter how many "safeties" are built in. It just goes against everything I have been taught about firearms since day one 55 years ago

MD Charleton has a voluntary upgrade program. Contact them online and fill out the form they send you, then send your P320 in if it is pre-upgrade. If it's not pre-upgrade you are GTG.
