Well mobile, you are only the second person that i know who has succesfully made 9 mm major work, with Quigley being the other one. So far any that i have seen or dealt with has been finky to say the least.
The other reason for my comment is check out what the big boys shoot. they mainly shoot a 38 super or a variant. since these guys basically shoot for a living and can pretty well shot whatever gun/calibre they want that tells me something as well.
again personal preferences are of course key in any decision for a gun or calibre. the big one of course is get out there and shot!
Mine works great now. Like Mobile 1 said, working out the kinks in the mags is the ticket.Well mobile, you are only the second person that i know who has succesfully made 9 mm major work, with Quigley being the other one. So far any that i have seen or dealt with has been finky to say the least.
Self-built gun. STI Frame, Slide, etc. 4.15" Barrel, STI threaded Comp (Kept one hidden for myself), Swiss cheese slide to my specs by Rodger, all kinds of other goodies. I have it around to "play" for now, but focus on Standard until my eyes start to go...FV which Open gun are you using now?

If the brass was free and plentiful, I'd be 38 Super Comp all the way for the same reason you state - case capacity.
Walter it is the mags not not the gun that is 90% of the problem.
Once you get the mags tuned and running there should be no problem.

Thanks. It's VV3N37 and 125gr HAPS; WSR Primers. For powder weight, I'll tell you over the phone, I don't post my powder charges.FV,the gun looks great. Nice job! Curious of what load you are using.
Nope. I cut the slide in case I wanted to, and found that I was happy without them.FV Do you have holes in that barrel?
