well probably the last time i will ever post on here again. i am no longer going to be involved with shooting in any way shape or form. not because i dont want to be, but more less, because of the chaos nightmare that my ex girlfriend caused.
this is a story for everyone , but especially newbies. keep your trigger locks on at all times.
i will keep it quick
last November after i went hunting i decided to make a tutorial video on an sks take down and clean. there was part 1, part 2 , and i was making part 3, which was re assembly .
i posted the videos on facebook but did not know that satan herself was planning some evil skeem against me. about 3 days after i uploaded the video, my sks was still in pieces on my work bench, in my basement. my other rifles were all in the gun safe, locked and stored.
police knocked on my door and immediately started searching my house. i was confused as to what was going on, they had a warrant. i asked what it was about , they asked where my firearms were stored . also the sks that was in pieces and had the trigger assembly REMOVED. the gun was unfireable . but apparently the fact that the trigger assembly was not secured with a trigger lock on it. or locked up itself, was enough to seize all my firearms. even all the ones with locks in the gun safe.
i argued that it wasnt stored that way and that i was currently working on it. they didnt care, since i have a teenager at home. this was enough for them to take everything.
they charged me with unsafe storage because of this.
over a year and a half went by , waiting for this court date. that kept getting put off because of covid, i went into court ready to argue and defend my rights. i thought due to the simple circumstance that i would be in and out with my property in no time.
it was nothing like what i thought it was going to be. i was in and out in about 15 minutes. ordered a 200 dollar fine. and the forfeiture of all my firearms so they could be destroyed.
i found out that my evil ex called the police on me AGAIN and told them that i was dangerous, i haven't seen this woman in years.
so anyways. just thought i would share this story with you all. if you have a toxic ex girlfriend. it might be wise to have trigger locks on your trigger locks, and your gun safe inside a bigger gun safe.
i never knew that a disassembled firearm needed a trigger lock. when you were currently working on it.
