I figure they are the exact same powder but Looking for what I have , I have an older IMR 700x currently in use and my next bottle is hodgdon , Did a search didnt find much info, to me it seems hodgdon took over it and the newer stuff is hodgdon while older is IMR , bottle is the same so I am assuming they are the same recipe , however with reloading I like to triple check to makesure there is no error! Just looking if somone can explain that or point me to where I'd find that anwser !
Cheers

If in doubt, call Hodgdon directly and ask the question. I've done that a few times over the years, they've always been very good to talk with.

Skeet club buys in bulk, repackages. Didn't think to check the empty 8 lbers.

Any chance it was Dominion 700X, made in Canada by IMR? It comes in 1 and 5 pounders though.
My guess is that the production never left our country anyway.

Did CIL DOMINION not label 700X C-300 back in the day?

Yep you old goat :)
Would not be shocked you still have some with the primers to match :)

I just finished my last 10lb steel canister C300 and the last of my CIL 209 primers a few months ago. That stuff was expensive in the day $20 on sale a jug for C300 and the primers were if I remember correctly a penny or so a piece . Hope you are doing well with the greenhouse we are in a bad drought down this way.

I was just pulling 3macs leg We had it great back in the day powder $5 a pound 25pounds of shot $10 wads and primers were pennies and everything was available most of the time a flat of the then new Win AA went for $40 and a Mec loader sold for under $75. My only bone is 3macs has a bigger stash than me.

Not shocked :)
Real tough year in flowers and first in 10 years we didnot sell out
No extra money around for flowers, people not out driving around since gas is so expensive and believe it or not many going no where since the mask mandates stopped
It has been like 30 here for maybe 8 days now and my veggie garden even with drip irrigation looks terrible
take care

We sure did looking back. Especially me with a dad that had a small gunshop and shot trap all over the us and canada.
Components were everywhere around the house :) and he started me pulling handles at age 8 or 9 and I got to try most new guns as they came out hjow cool was that
All my rifle and handgun stash is sold off starting about 10 years ago and I made a lot of old nutz guys happy who liked the old bullets selling it in many batches like this but not my shotgun stuff :) and have no plans on selling that stuff off
Take care
