When they finally come out with a 28" barrel and somehting other than rifle sights and "tactical" hung all over them I might buy one and see how they hold up. Think positive Mac. :d

Na don't have to I own the real thing :) and no more wingmasters new for me. They are more than likely going to be just fine just won't have the collector value down the road to get the prices the old vintage ones do now and it is growing
Take care

And if they came out with a special addition 16 gauge LW you would be the second one to line up behind me! I bought my last gun 50 years ago that's what I tell my wife but thank God she is Irish and never learned to count.

Honestly nope from where I sit on the yardstick of life :( . I am done buying new shotguns. Plus I have quite a few wingmasters in 16ga of both generations fixed and choke tube and don't need any more. If I want light I grab the ithaca 37 :) and get the crap beat out of me :(

I am happy that your addiction has been cured . I still buy the odd used gem but the new and better toy fever has slowed in me also.

Sadly age does that. I will buy a vintage gem but only if it is mint and not crazy priced
There is one 16ga I would buy in a wingmaster a factory skeet been 40 years looking for one of those to complete a set. Only ever even seen 2 in my life and there is a superx1 in the box skeet I have been after for like 30 years :( and he must be 80 now and still won't sell

That's pretty much my attitude too except I don't even buy the odd used gem.

My mechanic on the other hand, has a near new old (70s?) Wingmaster I haven't seen yet that he'll never use. I'm gently working at talking him out of it even though I'm winding down my waterfowling efforts inthe coming years too.

I would like to take a new rem arms 870 apart to see if internals are like remington express or wingmaster
My bet express
Cheers

Be interesting to see if they retain the twin steel rails, or cheap out and go aluminum...as other lesser manufacturers have...or have reduced the rails to one...
