Alberta restricted transfer

Can someone correct me if I’m wrong on the layout of the current situation of events.

1-purchase restricted
2- wait 4-5 weeks for a email from cfo of successful transfer
3- contact dealer with transfer notice
4- done deal?

Yep, last transfer was like this. After CFO approved sent emailed it to retailer because they were not getting them. "Item" showed up 3 days later. Still no reg cert so safe queen for now.

I’m still waiting to hear about my transfer from beginning of June
This is beyond stupid no way it should take this long

Did you call them? I've had a few buddy's that got tired of waiting for transfers from early June, so they called 18007314000 AB CFO ext. 9024 and the agent that answered approved it while they were still on the phone with them.

I just bought another. I'm wondering how long we need to wait before calling. My June 13 purchase, the Alberta CFO office couldn't help after only one week, but after three weeks they could. I'll probably just call every week.

I'm still waiting for two that I got reference numbers for on June 14th and June 22nd.

Update. Just got through to the Alberta CFO and both transfers were approved over the phone with email received while still on phone. Very pleasant to deal with once I finally got through.

No I didn’t
I prob should just for piece of mind I just don’t want to waste days on end being on the phone though

Finally got through after calling all morning repeatedly and getting disconnected. Finally reached an agent and 2 of my transfers are ready. Phone time was about 25 min on hold after getting through.
Dated received was June 28th and July 14th. Another purchase dated July 14th is not completed.

Green paper day.
I have another dealer sale that was made the same day that hasn't been completed.

Purchases June 3&5th, silence since so I started calling this week. Two, one hour calls on hold that ended when the office closed and today I started calling at 7:00. Office was closed until 8:30, on hold for about half an hour and then both transfers approved. Total call was 36 minutes. I asked the lady about the Alberta CFO notifying the dealers and she said they are emailing the dealers because the office is Alberta controlled. Still going to email the dealers just to be sure.
The lady was very nice and helpful, be polite and they will do their best.

When I call the number/extension to check on my transfers I sometimes get put on hold for 18 minutes exactly then get a message that “call volumes are higher than normal” then it hangs up. This has been the exact same the 6 times. It seems like an hour but, 18 min exactly each time. I’m surprised anyone gets past 18 minutes.

Bikezngunz - are you pressing 1 for English, then 1 for 'if you know the extension', then the extension 9026?

When I was first trying, I would enter the 9026 extension as soon as the recording started and it would do the same as you say.

I was doing this today to check my license status. I had to re-dial many times before I got into the que. I had read somewhere to make noise to keep from being timed out so I did that and it worked twice today. I was on hold for almost 25 minutes both times but got through, finally. if you get the "Sorry, we can't take you call at this time" hang up and try again. If you get "higher than normal volumes", you are in the line up. Try putting it on speaker phone and talking every once in a while... It can't hurt...
