Looking for a shadow 2 asap. blue or the orange grip higher end one.

Also trying to figure out if the orange is worth the extra grand

"orange grip" isn't just a colour option - it's a hand fitted higher end version, unless you're just talking about a regular shadow 2 with orange grips.

Depends what you want to do with it and how good a shooter you are.

If you plan to get into IPSC - probably worth it.

If you don’t know the difference between a fantastic trigger and a very good trigger, probably not worth it.

But since we don’t have the luxury of upgrading to a higher end gun when ready, I would say it’s worth it now.

It's debatable whether it's worth the price difference for the Orange. But what's not debatable is that with the import ban, pretty soon you won't be able to find either version in stock. So just buy it now.

I've watched some YouTube videos on the shadow2 generations, which are distinguished by colour. From what I gather, the changes from black to gray and gray to blue are negligible (cosmetic/hardcoat etc) but from blue to orange they hand fit the slide and upgraded some of the hardware upfront, allegedly increasing accuracy (I'm sure it does, but who was out here "out shooting" their shadow two anyway?! I want to train where you trained.) If you've got an extra thousand bucks to burn, go for it. I would've if I had millions in the bank. Frankly though, I plan to put an optic on my blue anyway and would rather spend the extra grand on a OR slide, when they become available, which wont be hand fitted either.

Don’t forget , the orange only comes with one mag…..and extra mags for the orange are 150 each……take that into consideration.

I bought the Shadow 2 Blue, comes with 3 mags and extras are only 67 bucks.

67 bucks wont get you the extended base plates that come with the orange ones, or am I mistaken?
