Take a look at the VBull Precision set up. Its one of / if not the strongest system available right now. As a bonus, its Canadian made!

I've had the HS system, its not built as nice as the VBull. Also, the Vbull system uses the Accuracy International magazines (the best mag available today).

I have had the H-S precision detachable mag kit installed on my Rem 700 LTR 308 for about 4 months now. I have 2-4 round mags and a 10 round mag. I mostly use the 4 round mags. Absolutely no issues so far. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Many members on this board are also using the V-Bull system and they seem to be very pleased with it. The main reason I chose the H-S Precision over the V-Bull is because I didn't want to inlet my stock to fit the magazine system. I also like the fact that the 4 round magazine is flush to the bottom of the stock.

As far as looks, I think functionality should be more of a concern. A pretty mag system that doesn't work isn't worth much IMHO.

Thanks Blackcloud and Diver, now who supplies the V-Bull and the H-S presision, and what are they worth if you don't mind me asking.

For the VBull system, you can contact VBull Precision (see top of the page here for add). It does require inletting of your stock (but only minor).

There are a few people who can get you the HS system here in Canada as well.

Price between the two are comparable.

I was just looking at those tonight, they are black Teflon coated stainless steel :D. They are pricey, pushing $300 from what I could tell. I think I'll get one anyhow, has anyone seen if they are available in 6.8 Rem SPC? I will ask HS directly but am curious meanwhile.

I tried VBulls website but it was under construction .

Try giving VBull a call. He's a great guy to deal with:D

Ya, his website has been under construction for years :D just call him.

Btw, you can still see the pics of his gen1 mag conversion here

Have a vbull, love it!. The thing I love about ed, is the man is always thinking. Just recently saw his vbull setup for the 338.....again, will never use any other system...Accept on my aics cause thats pretty self explanitory.

Where to buy thoses H - S mag conversion in canada please ???

Thank's

Sendero

I'd also love to know that.

I would love a Vbull but its the look of the trigger that turns me off. Modifying the stock is not a big deal... But that trigger guard is butt ugly.

I've got an HS system on a BDL .22-250, bedded into a laminated mt. rifle stock. It works quite nicely, and allows for much longer loading length for longer bullets. It adds just a bit of a belly to the floorplate area where my hand sits when I'm carrying the rig, which I can live with. I'm trying to decide if the extra weight is worth the convinience. The other thing I hadn't considered when I bought the thing, is the risk of loosing the mag, or leaving it somewhere. I'm thinking my setup will be going into the EE shortly...

Glad to see you surface Marc! The mag system really finishes that whole setup quite nicely. No more excuses- come out and shoot with us!!!
