Your favorite ridiculous handgun price!

looool at back on topic. I remember the days a few years ago, SFRC would give you 1000 rounds of .45 ammo with purpose of norinco 1911

Pretty sure it was Canada Ammo and it was $425 for 1000 rds of norinco .45 and a norinco .45 gov with and unmarked slide. Most bought it for the ammo and sold the gun, I know I did.
I also bought an 18.5" M305 from Canada Ammo at the HACS show. $450 for the rifle and I think 300rds of the all copper coloured chinese 7.62x51.
THOSE were the days!

Someone made a comment that caused me to wonder.

Will this legislation cause legal guns to be sold to unlicensed buyers?
On the wrong side of the law.
No need for a transfer.

i.e to bad guys?

Speculation about this further supports and fuels the antigun movement. (Sadly like so many other lunatic fringe views openly communicated on this site)

No matter how unfair and frustrating this situation is, anyone stupid enough or tempted to sell illegally should not have a licence to begin with.

Effort needs to go into making legal changes.

Sorry, you are right. It was Canada ammo. I confuse the two.

best rpice gouging thief to date is on GP,,look up Sailor1,,that idiot has a Glock 44 at $5000.00,and a Glock 19 at $6000.00,
and prices are firm he says, biggest laugh i have had for a while,LOL

I have an un-fired Glock 48MOS and $5K cash wouldn't get me to sell it. Also un-fired G35 MOS & G22.

I sold a few recently at very fair prices (both sold within a few minutes) but the rest are essentially priceless now. Even my G17 frame only, would be more than $2K just to start the conversation.

Agreed. I am not impressed with Prophet River's pricing compared to other retailers. They def are price gouging and trying to justify it with recent posts.

Reminds me of a fictional place I used to visit in my dreams - River of Profit. I always wondered why the place got that name. That is, until I stepped in the cLAY.

Is it really gouging though? What if the dealer’s are left with stock when it’s all said and done? The risk of selling a handgun has gone up and given a finite new supply, so has the demand. The shops selling at normal retail are being generous.

I don’t see much risk in them selling their inventory at this point. And if their concern is being left with stock it hardly makes sense to raise the price.

I have mixed feelings on the price gouging issue. I get that they want to make money while they can. Its the old “make hay while the sun shines” thing. Small price increases to make a little extra is one thing but when a cheap 22 that was already in stock goes from $279 to 350 then $400 in the space of a few hours it seems a little excessive.

I posted and sold a gun for my purchase price (2021), I thought I could easily get $200 profit but didn't want to be greedy, just didn't need this gun as I have three identical (model) guns in my collection. So buddy bought the gun, no questions asked, for my ask. That day or the next he has a gun he owns, same as the one he bought from me at basically double my ask. Pretty funny.

You will not be able to figure out who the guilty party is in this story as I have deleted my advert, and the information above has been altered enough so you can't figure it out. And nothing to do with my feedback profile.

Just relaying the details for a little laugh, how crazy people are. I hope no one buys buddy's gun.
