Your favorite ridiculous handgun price!

Maybe not, but at this rate the point will come sooner than later where licensing has little to do with procurement or use.

I for one would welcome firearms owners taking a stand. I say that as someone who is law abiding and has followed all the over the top / stupid bureaucratic rules that were put in place and did zero to impede the average criminal, only suckers like me.

I dont think the stand will ever come though, I say that as the most disappointing thing for me from the whole Covid saga was how willingly people were happy to roll over to what government ordered them to do, immaterial of how stupid / illogical / unproven / detrimental it was. Worse still was how rabid some became to ensure no one escaped the misery / stupidity that they seemed to embrace.

I am happy to be proved wrong though.

With regard to handgun prices I have an itch for something high end and have looked at several CZ Czechmates and 2011 race guns.

Between not really finding a good fit for IPSC classes (I would prefer a 9mm but they are at a disadvantage in IPSC where they would be in Standard) and the high prices (seen a couple at $12K) I dont think its gonna happen.

I never really looked at them before this latest round of dumbassery came down the pipe for law abiding gun owners (didnt feel I was ready for one - still dont - but now don't want to miss the boat and end up kicking myself) - how much was a CZ Czechmate or high end 2011 open gun pre ban announcement?

Maybe they were always that sort of price?

Whats your bases for implying people are scaredy cats? Ar15s will never be unbanned. This country is done. Handguns freeze will never be undone.

So, Trudeau and his ilk have banned AR's because they say there is no use for them...I say we give him a useage that would benefit Canada not only domestically but also globally. Let us propose a Swiss model with North American common sense. Every owner of an AR 15 is enrolled into the local reserve unit (militia). The government will hold monthly marksmanship qualifications on local DND ranges (they supply the ammo and dictate the course of fire) and we agree that we have to attend and qualify at least 3 times a year?

In the event that a foreign entity invades the homeland, we are mobilized as a supplement to the Regular Army and Reserve units.

Our own gun range memberships are utilized for qualifying.

Any objections? Anyone? Buller? Buller?

Imagine defending a country that demonizes you and confiscates your legally owned property lol

I am so in! Ok, now we just pick a country that isnt Canada and move there.

Fixed it.

It’s so much more. All your attitude tells me is that you haven’t spent a lot of time in truly ####ed up places. Every time I get back on Canadian soil I realize how fortunate we are.

Is the current situation frustrating? 100%. But there truly are bigger fish to fry, both globally and here at home.

You say there are bigger fish to fry.

If we can't fry the little fish around us, the big fish won't even come into the picture.

If you can't see that this economic zone (well put Dave) is heading down the tube fast, I have a bridge to sell you.

Give it a couple of years, that 3k will be a bargain.

As soon as the legislation passes, which it will, the price of every handgun in the country goes to $0. Combine that with the fact that the Libs will most likely try to complete the ban with confiscation in like a decade from now, I don't see how they're worth any price like that. I mean, of course they're worth something to us, but it's what held me off of purchasing too many.

This one is a dealer price: $700 for an FMK at Bullseye. I don't care if its the "elite" (whatever the #### that means), I bought my FMK 9c1 for like $210, and let me tell you, they may be American Made but its the crappiest 9mm I've ever shot. I wouldn't buy another one for $210, let alone $700!

Unless they ban export they are not worth $0. Assuming you can export them to the USA, you could always sell them at Rock Island, Morphys, etc. Will you get top dollar for them? Nope. But you will get SOMETHING... Unless its a Norinco. lol (and anything worth less than $500 isn't going to be worth the hassle I would think unless you're packaging it with multiple guns in a lot)

Ya right, that's what gucci AR owners thought before the OIC ban trap. But it looks good sitting in the safe, for now.
:kickInTheNuts:

Thats why I sold off everything extra in the last 2 months and only kept minimal shtf innawoods stuff. If people want to have dozens of pistols and no ammo to shoot them in 10 years, they can have that. I have other hobbies. If this country ever recovers its freedoms (big doubt) I will resume sportshooting.
