I am thinking about picking up some of the Complete P80 frames from Black Box for future builds. Any one have experience with them? How is the quality? How about compatibility the Glock and other aftermarket parts?
I'd like to build a 19x style p80 with the 17 sized grip frame and a 19 sized slide. Is this doable? Can one cut down the dust cover on the 17sized gripframe to accomadate a 19 slide?

Any input helps.

I suppose it's doable but you won't have an enclosed dust cover on the muzzle end if you cut it down because it's hollow inside.

Ideally what you would need to do is do some plastic welding to splice it together while taking a chunk out of the middle.

I think they're great for custom builds based off of gen 3 parts, but one has to recognize they are what they are and they aren't what they aren't. And they aren't a 19x frame.

Yeah, I didn't think it would be doable. I still think I will pick up a frame or two for future builds. I was really hoping to pick up a P320 or 365 FCU but I think that ship has sailed.
 
I've completed two Poly80 builds. I did a g17 build a couple years ago and I just finished a g19 build. I really like the grip angle of the poly80 frames as well as the undercuts on the trigger guard. Quality is very good. On the first build, I didn't use the completed poly80 frame, I purchased all my own parts for the frame. For my latest build, I did use the complete poly80 frame with all the parts installed. For the most part it was fine but I'm not a huge fan of the trigger they use. The locking block also needed some filing and smoothing. I purchased a slide completion kit from brownells and it seems ok but I replaced the recoil spring because the pistol wasn't cycling properly. I really enjoy putting these things together, and with the lack of Glocks currently in the country, it was the best solution to put my own "Glock-ish" together.
 
Is this a way around the import ban? A firearms company just starts printing lowers or whatever they are called legally and then selling them.
 
I have a fully assembled compact P80 frame on order from Saskatoon Gun Works and a OEM G19 Gen 3 complete factory slide without barrel ordered. Have a OEM 19 threaded already from another gun but looking at others right now. Can’t wait!

Where did you find the OEM Glock slide? There are some really cool looking aftermarket slides but the costs get quite high and I'm not sure how reliable they'd be

I'm looking for a slide for my p80 when and if it ever finally gets approved

Not sure about an OEM slide but the Brownells slides are affordable and quite nice. I haven’t checked lately but haven’t heard you can’t order from them, I would certainly look into that option, I’ve ordered a gen3 rmr cut slide from them and it was no hassle at all and it has been an awesome slide
 
The holster fitment is a concern, however I have seen some post on other forum where indivduals have modified some Safariland holsters to fit successfully which works for me as Safariland is my prefered holster choice. I think I am going to go a head on a G19 sized build.
Does any one know if any dealer selling the frames aside from Black Box?

Also, how is the stock trigger on the complete lowers? Is it useable or just a place holder?
