Basically two different guns
This for sure.
Trap targets are always going away from you and generally going out and up.
Usually a 30-32-34 in barrel with M-IM-F choke. A gun with interchangeable chokes is nice but not required.
I shot trap for years with a F choke gun (single shot)
The stock and comb are set for a person shooting this type of target
I dont think you would be very successful doing this with a SC gun.
SC targets can be doing anything - going away, crossing in front, coming at you on the ground or going up vertically.
Shooters often change chokes from station to station. Anything from F to cylinder depending on the set up
You will need to be able to shoot 2 shots.
The comb is set differently because your head position can be looking down, up etc vs always just away from you
I dont think you would be very successful doing this (even with a double barrel) trap gun. YMMV
