CAS in the Kootenays'

Kamloops BC probably the closest, unfortunately 6 or 7 hours from the Koots depending where you are there.

Condor AB has the Alberta Frontier Shootists, 5 or 6 hours east of the Koots.

Granum Alberta, just south of Calgary has a very active Cowboy Club hosted by Southwest Trapper & Alberta Annie, 2 of the top cowboy shooters in Canada.

thanks,

would of thought there would be more clubs out west. going to have to start one up once i get out there.

If you do start up something in the East (ideal) or West Koots, I would love to get involved. Never done CAS but looking to learn about more action shooting in general

you should see if there is any interest in your club now and get it going. I hope to move to the creston area next spring or summer, just waiting for some of the housing prices to come back down to buy.

Sparwood BC only 1 hour, 35 minutes from Granum AB. Which starting this Thursday is having its annual 4 day shoot. Thursday is for long range then Wild Bunch and the next 3 days are main match Cowboy Action. My wife and I are members of the club and regularly drive 3 hours (one way) for matches. The quality of the matches is worth the long drive.

I've gone to a couple monthly meetings, range cleanup days, etc and pitched it numerous times. Doesn't seem to be any interest in any sort of "shoot and move" type things, at least from the people showing up to volunteer events. Instead I've just been buying assorted targets and me and some buddies are doing our own thing for now

I had seen that, and you'd think working a shift work schedule where I have 50% of the year off I would be able to make it, but 4 on 4 off I won't have a weekend off again for a month

That is a shame, if things change in the future you would be more than welcome to join us.

Lots of CAS in south of Ontario. Sadly most are a pale shadow of past ones.

there is a group in Ottawa. i should of joined it ages ago but the job i have now is lots of weekend work. I rushed to gear up, so the 'freeze' will hopefully not affect my handgun choice, thou I had wanted other ones.

They shoot cowboy in Trail. Usually coupled with a half day IPSC/Cowboy. We used to have shoots in Cranbrook but the interested parties moved, aged or passed away. Older style targets were still there last year. We also used to go to Eureka but their club folded and Bigfork is now the closest in Montana. I have been there a few times.

As above (Trail) West Kootenay Marksmen. We have a lots of matches to suit all disciplines with an amazing facility.
Get out here and join up!!!
PM me if you need info.
